Davos Atmosphere and Cryosphere Assembly 2013
Air, Ice & Process Interactions
July 8-12, 2013

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to Davos, an ideal setting to discuss recent results from atmospheric and cryospheric sciences. With two world-leading research institutes on Snow and Avalanches (SLF) and on Solar Radiation (PMOD/WRC), respectively, its inspiring alpine environment and the amenities of the most modern congress center in the alps, Davos guaranties a stimulating experience.

In our changing world, cold places such as the mountains and the polar regions are particularly vulnerable and show complex interactions, which need to be better understood. We are therefore certain that the IAMAS – IACS joint assembly in Davos comes at the exact right moment to exchange the latest findings in science with respect to our fragile atmospheric and cryospheric environments. We are looking forward to meeting you in Davos!
